ROCK STAR

There is nothing like making a birthday a week long event! As you know, M's birthday was last Tuesday, but her party wasn't until Friday night. So there was a lot of hype and anticipation for the "Rock Star" party we had planned. It lived up to all the expectations and more!

After many months, even years, of my girls being obsessed with the idea of a limo, T decided that make a cool suprise for M's birthday party. Everything else just fell into place after that...the whole "Rock Star" theme. I found an idea off the internet to use VIP cards that hang around your neck for the inviations, which cost me near to nothing and were so cute. Then I was lucky enough to find great party favors online at a very cheap price! All the girls got a pair of white rocker sunglasses, a fake microphone, a few bracelets and a few cheap bead necklaces. Everyone came dressed up in their favorite "rock star" attire and even the adults participated! It was so much fun.

After all 12 girls arrived we past out our party favors to help complete their star look. Then the doorbell rang. We made M answer the door. There was a gentleman in a shirt and tie, holding a rose. He said, "Are you MW?"

"Ughh (very confused) Yes, I am." M said.

"This rose is for you," he continued, "and your car has arrived for the evening."

At that, he pointed to his super stretch Ford Excursion white limo sitting in front of our house (which was nearly as long as our house, by the way). You should have seen M's face and then seen all the little girls running out of my house and piling one by one in that limo. They were so excited! It was priceless.

The limo was the perfect amount of "cheesy." It was a party limo, complete with lights, a fog machine, a laser show and (as the driver put it,) "a sound system you can feel." They had a ball.

I will have more pictures soon because my sweet friend January, a professional photographer came along with her daughter and acted at the paparazzi!

Here are a few that my dad or I took. (more to come)

This one is of my step-mother (in a blonde wig), my mother, and my mother-in-law

Here is her face at the door!

I am the one in black with a crazy hot pink and black hat. I think this might
be the only picture of me the whole night.

I love it! Stinkerbell would die if we could get a limo out here in the sticks where we live! We did something like that for her b'day in January. Reserved tables at a restaurant that has a dance floor, brought along a mix cd of her fave songs for them to play, then went back to her house for a makeover/spa/slumber party - complete with makeup and manicures and oatmeal/yogurt and cucumber facials.

The little boy in the last picture, with the orange outfit - is there a tiger on the front of it? Lucky has the SAME THING and wore it today! I love those rompers.
